The Migrant Cinema site is now live.
The site is now running entirely within ExpressionEngine and we have implemented a forum. Login is now possible for project participants and coordinators.
The web site can be found here

I now have progress with the project now running in ExpressionEngine. Template building still underway, but it looks OK so I have made it live.

This is the final issue in Volume 1 for the Brookes eJournal of Learning and Teaching. I have posted an index to all papers in Volume 1. I thought it would also be a good idea to post up the layout of the PDF version which has 2 columns.

We have the domain registered and have posted the first attempt.
I am very pleased with this and it represents a little bit of a departure; I have ranged everything right and ued the space on the left for a map of Europe. This shows more or less depending on the screen size. This is a fixed layout, but rather than going for a centered design, I have pushed everything over to the right of the window.
We are fortunate to be able to use the image from the poster of the film: Crossing the Bridge, Fatih Akin (2005). Photo courtesy of Corazón International/Hamburg. I have used the colours in this image to build a colour scheme.

The Madness-Modernity project and team have moved to Birkbeck college in London. I still maintain the web site with a few tweaks here and there to the Photo gallery. This project is really just running itself now.

The Medicine Publishing Company has been purchased by Elsevier so, we will be waiting to see if they want to continue with this project.

BackLit is on hold while Rebecca is on maternity leave. The web site is still up and running but no more progress for a month or two.

I suppose I am a publisher! It seems so. I have just completed Issue 3 of the Brookes eJournal of Learning and Teaching (BeLT). And this is now online in this location.
The design is still implemented with some tables but it does validate to XHTML 1.0 Transitional. There will be an opportunity for redesign in the next volume, but I am particlarly proud of the work flow between Word (authors’ word processor files), InDesign, PDF (for printable versions online) and XML to XHTML.
It’s a shame that I can’t use ExpressionEngine!
